MarcVDS & Racing Team Germany Presentation

Team Presentation of MarcVDS Moto2
On March 19th in Gosselies (Belgium) the Moto2 team MarcVDS presented itself to the public. 2010 will be the first time that the MarcVDS Racing Team will compete in two-wheeled competition, as they enter the Moto2 World Championship with home-grown rider Vincent Lonbois and British talent Scott Redding riding on Suter-MMX chassis in the new intermediate class. Over 350 people were present to witness this official launch.

The team belongs to Marc van der Straten and will be managed by Michael Bartholemy, the former manager of the Kawasaki factory team in MotoGP.

Mr Van der Straten: “It is a pleasure to see so many people at the launch of the MarcVDS Racing Team. Our motto is 'share the passion' and I'm happy to have the chance to share it with so many people; not just tonight, but throughout the 2010 season. Finally, I'd like to thank the team for all their hard work and all of you for your continuing support.

The Marc VDS Racing Team will also be present on four wheels in the FIA GT1 World Championship and the FIA GT3 European Championship, as well as competing in the prestigious 24 Heures du Mans in June for the first time.

The results of the MarcVDS Moto2 team are up to now very promising: Scott Reding was second on the timetable on the 2nd day of the IRTA Tests III in Jerez. We from Suter Racing congratulate and are sure to see many more outstanding results like this one.

Racing Team Germany Presentation
On Monday, March 23th also the Racing Team Germany showed their 2010 lineup. Over 200 guests were invited to the Sachsenring for this occasion.

The team will compete in the Moto2 and 125cc World Championships this season, with Arne Tode on the Suter-MMX in the intermediate class and Tomoyoshi Koyama and Jakub Kornfeil in the eighth-litre category.

In 2009, Arne Tode won the German Championship and over the winter time has been practicing for this new world championship. Tode clearly set his goal for 2010: "I soon found out that in this championship the level is much higher as in the IDM. But I am certain that I will get points in many races. I will achieve that", the Saxon said.

Sport Evolution, a partner of the Racing Team Germany:
"The Suter MMX is a first-class choice. The team around Eskil Suter is looking after its customers right on the spot and tries to constantly improve their bike, together with the teams technicians and riders. This Swiss bike is very precise and reacts as predicted to the setup changes done. No disadvantage until now. It allows us to try all our ideas regarding chassis, geometry and suspension setup. For us as chassis specialists, this is a dream come true."
